In the research particular attention was paid to the educational needs of the children of the labor
migrants from former Soviet countries. Since their average age is 25-35 years, they don’t have or have
only a poor Russian language knowledge and socio-cultural orientation, so their children need the
general adaptation in the educational environment. Among the problems, the most important are:
psychological stresses, cultural-communicative difficulties, crisis of identity, unknown system of values
and social norms. Two project teams worked in this field, both of them concentrated on the practice-
oriented research: how to enable the teachers, trainers to be able to perform the adaptation of the
migrant children, and how to sensitize the local children? The researches resulted in a 3-part training
package: Training Manual , Extracurricular Module and a Digital Smart Game . The
MA-students prepared additional studies
